Seton Hall University

Seton Hall is a mainstream college meaning it is a college that specializes in every single major that is possible and that there is no specific major that they cater to. It is more for those who want a traditional college experience since this is what Seton Hall represents. In the classes I have taken, I am learning a lot and learning new things. A lot of reading you have to do but it benefits you because at some point in life, you will remember what you read and you will use it in whatever it is you are doing.

With a beautiful campus and welcoming community, I know that Seton Hall is the only school for me. The ratio of professors to students is small, so I know I'm always receiving the care and attention of my professors if it's ever necessary. And the opportunity to visit the city or finding internships there is so easily achievable because of the train station being within walking distance.

Just about 88% of professors at Seton Hall have a Ph.D. So your learning from the best of the best. The class ratio of student to professor is 14:1. So the professor knows who you are; your not just a regular student he/she collects their money from. Every professor has office hours and ALWAYS expect their kids to go to their office hours. The professor's are there to help you! If you don't take advantage of it you really don't know how lucky you can be.

Even if you dont understand the professor and need EXTRA help. Shu has an academic resource center (ARC). There they have tutors for just about all subjects. We have a writing center; where there are students or english professors helping you with your papers. We even have tutoring in the residences hall., these tutors are willing to work around your schedule. SO there is NO way you can do bad in your classes unless if you dont really try !

Even though some professor seem extremely boring they all know what their talking about. I've actually learned a lot here and I've only been at SHU for 1 semester. The thing they don't always tell you is that you have to take 2 core classes that don't really count for much they just teach you how to get through your first year, you also have to take a religious class.

I would recommend this university to anyone! They have great resources for the students attending in order to help them figure out what type of career to strive for. This university is also very prestigious so it will help give credibility to your degree for when you go out into the work force.

Seton Hall has extraordinary opportunities and has given me a home away from home. The faculty and the classes are enjoyable yet challenging as well. Seton Hall has amazing science facilities and is constantly looking to improve.

My experience at Seton Hall has been great. You get the experiences of both a large university and small school, but it's the perfect size. The location is great because of it's close proximity to NYC, which offers great internships opportunities, as well as a place for fun!

Seton Hall University is overall a great campus. It combines intellectual endeavor with a solid Catholic background. Also, there is always help and support, and you get to meet interesting people.

Seton Hall seemed very committed to preparing their students as best they could for their careers. Service seemed almost as important as academics.

The campus is beautiful, a relatively good size, and welcoming. There's always something to do whether its a first 56 activity or just chilling in the Pirate's Cellar. There's always somewhere you can go or someone you can go to when you are in need of help.
