Why we rebranded

For nearly twenty years, Cappex had been recognized as a trusted college search platform and scholarship database, helping millions of students find their ideal college and explore ways to finance their degree.

In 2020, Cappex was acquired by EAB, an industry leader dedicated to driving transformative change in higher education. In addition to Cappex, EAB had other world-class tools in its ecosystem, like YouVisit, which helps students narrow down their college choices, and Concourse, which connects them with direct admission offers from colleges.

In 2023, we saw an opportunity to bring all these resources together, making it even easier for students to use them. With the power of EAB behind us, we created a new, all-in-one student website designed to provide even greater confidence in the college search, selection, and application process. 

When did Cappex become Appily?

In 2023, Cappex officially rebranded as Appily, the all-in-one college and scholarship search website.

The new Appily name reflects our mission to help every student apply with confidence, whether you’re navigating college applications, searching for scholarships, considering military service, or returning to school as an adult.
