The Army National Guard for College & Career Success
Earn college money, build real-world experience, and stay closer to home with Army National Guard service.

How the Army National Guard Helps With College
The U.S. Army National Guard (ARNG) is a part-time military service option that helps college students with their education costs while allowing them to serve close to home.
Depending on your state and duty status, Army National Guard members may qualify for state tuition benefits and federal education programs such as the Montgomery GI Bill Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR) and Army Tuition Assistance (TA).
The Army National Guard can also help you build credentials through Army Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (Army COOL) and the Army Credentialing Assistance (CA) program. If becoming an officer is your goal, Army ROTC is a common path to commissioning while earning your degree.
Tuition Assistance
Eligible Guard Soldiers can use Army Tuition Assistance for off-duty classes up to $250 per semester hour.
