Rider University
Originally founded in 1865 as a business college, Rider University is a 4-year private school in western New Jersey. Rider is home to colleges of Business Administration, the Arts, Education, and Liberal Arts offering undergraduate degrees in 71 academic programs. To demonstrate a commitment to sustainability, Rider features an on-campus solar panel array, community garden, and honeybee hives. For a break from the rigors of the classroom, Rider schedules a number of outdoor recreation trips throughout the region including canoeing down the Delaware River and hiking the Appalachian Trail.
