Temple University, founded in 1884, is a public, four-year high research university located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Home to more than 37,000 students, Temple offers more than 600 academic programs in 17 schools and colleges, on several campuses, including locations in Japan and Italy. Known for its diverse student body, Temple also has more than 300 clubs and organizations on campus, including professional, industry-focused networks; a marching band; and more. Temple offers a myriad of degree programs. This allows everyone to find the perfect combination of majors and minors. I would like to become a teacher, so I learned a lot about what there was to choose from between browsing their website and taking a tour. They also have a really impressive tech center with a large amount of computers. So you will, literally, learn a lot.

There is so much to learn while attending Temple. The classes are some of the most interesting and informative classes I have ever taken. I've taken classes ranging from human sexuality to the art of acting right back to Psychology as a social science. You also learn a lot outside the classroom living in the dorms and experiencing Philadelphia.

Temple University offers a spectacular range of majors. They also had so many fun and interesting courses that I had a lot of trouble choosing General Education courses, which is a really a good problem. (Incoming freshmen, or anyone for that matter, you must take The Art of Listening with Dr. Kreinberg. He's an absolute genius and a really nice guy too.) I'm finding that I miss the learning environment and can not wait to get back into the class room/lecture hall to begin my sophomore year at Temple.

I am learning a lot from both the professors and myself. Temple has numerous facilities that are available for the students to access and/or get help. Also, professors and teacher assistants are constantly striving to help students in distress. They give the students the best possible solution they can find for a specific question and answer it as thoroughly and clearly as possible. Temple staff shows they are willing to help with the constant reminders to students about available facilities for assistance in any subject or any matter that is troubling a student. It really shows that they care!
