Overview
Founded in 1870, Loyola University Chicago is a Catholic, Jesuit university located in the city of Chicago. Loyola has four campuses in the Chicago area–the main Lake Shore Campus along Lake Michigan, Water Tower Campus in the heart of downtown, the Health Sciences campus in Maywood and our Loyola Retreat and Ecology Center in Woodstock. Loyola also has the John Felice Rome Center in Italy and a center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The university is comprised of 14 schools, colleges and institutes that offers over 80 undergraduate majors, 80 minors and over 45 five-year dual degree Bachelor’s/Master’s programs. As an NCAA Division 1 school, Loyola hosts 13 men’s and women’s teams.
