Overview
Originally founded as the Alaska Agricultural College and School of Mines, the University of Alaska Fairbanks is a public school and flagship campus of the U of A System. The oldest institution of higher-learning in the state, UAF is home to nine colleges and schools granting undergraduate degrees in 113 disciplines. The university also features a number of Alaska Native and Indigenous Programs and is a designated Alaska Native-Serving Institution. In addition to classroom facilities, UAF hosts the University of Alaska Museum of the North and Kodiak Seafood and Marine Science Center.
