Overview

The University at Albany is a 4-year public research institution in New York State’s capital city and part of the State University of New York system. UAlbany is home to nine colleges and schools offering over 50 bachelor’s degree-granting programs. For students who wish to learn in a different culture, UAlbany features study abroad programs in over 60 countries and Antarctica. In addition to classroom facilities, UAlbany’s Uptown campus hosts a National Weather Service meteorological lab, linear accelerator, and the New York State Writers Institute.
