Founded in 1818, Saint Louis University is a private research institution and one of the oldest Catholic, Jesuit universities in the United States. At SLU, students can explore nearly 100 different undergraduate programs and over 80 graduate programs. For students who want to gain a global edge, SLU features a guaranteed study abroad experience at the university’s international campus in Madrid, Spain. Outside of the classroom, Saint Louis fields 18 men and women’s athletic teams and over 215 student organizations. The mascot of SLU is the Billiken, a mythical symbol of good luck.
