Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. Most of my instructors are really good, and the ESP (Emerging Scholars Program) for math is phenomenal. It's a lot of work, but the extra hands on help and feedback really help you understand the math
Audrey from Ferndale, MI
As a student, it is your responsibility to take full advantage of your education. Wayne State University is a great University that provides you with the tools to succeed. I just finished my first semester with a 3.89. I have learned a lot from my professors and have taken full advantage of the resources available at Wayne State.
Kurt from Brownstown, MI
I love the diversity in the people, lectures, and classes... I've only been here a month and I already feel so much more cultured. The general education requirements cover a wide range that ensures all students get a well balanced education and a larger perspective.
Sydnee from Southfield, MI
In addition to incredible professors with office hours, this university offers lab classes, counseling, SI sessions (which act as a free tutoring option to further explain material covered in class and review for exams and quizzes), as well as many on-line venues to seek help. You not only learn about the material covered in class but you are also taught to study more efficiently and work better with groups of people.
Paige from Dearborn, MI
Wayne State University is not given the credit it deserves. It is a wonderful school because the course are quite challenging, which is amazing because working hard for something is 10 times better than breezing through something and not feeling that your hard work paid off.
Christina from Southfield, MI
My three older brothers have gone to this university and came out successful.
Batool from Taylor, MI
