Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
(amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
+ amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
+ amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. The past years in La Crosse have been awesome thanks to UWL. The campus and city community is extremely inviting and supportive so much that you never really feel away from home. As a student, the classes can be challenging but there is never a feeling of being alone; the professors are extremely helpful and the support on campus is there for the taking.

UW-La Crosse is a great friendly environment! There is lots to do around campus and in town. I am three hours away from home and I love it here, it keeps me busy so I don't miss home to much.

Some of the friendliest people attend UW-La Crosse making it very easy to meet new people and friends. Since attending college there I have became closer to my college friends than my high school friends. The teachers are very helpful and will always help any student that is struggling because they want to see all of their students succeed.
