The University of Texas at Tyler is one of 14 institutions in the public UT system. UT at Tyler’s main campus is made up of 259 acres surrounded by pine and oak forests, bordered by a lake, that hosts 7 colleges providing more than 80 degrees. It also maintains three satellite locations in Palestine, Longview, and Houston. The Tyler campus is also home to the Center for Petroleum Security Research, the Ingenuity Center, and The Texas Allergy, Indoor Environment and Energy Institute.
