Describe your college in three sentences.

UT Tyler to me is a very home-feeling school where I can go pretty much anywhere in the school and the people/staff/faculty here are so nice and helpful with whatever you may need help with. Their goal is to never let you down and to provide you with unlimited resources.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Here, there are plenty opportunities for you to study abroad and even get into some honors classes for all those extremely smart people. They also have a website that hires UT Tyler kids only so it helps you find a job in your field and most people look at the website because they know that only the best are coming from UT Tyler. The main two majors that I hear are GREAT here is the Accounting Program and the Nursing program as #1. There are hundreds of kids here for the nursing program because they know that they will get the best out of the best here at UT Tyler. I am an Accounting student and UT Tyler has not disappointed me yet.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

This is by far the best part. The professors are always on point and they know exactly what they are doing. They are always available with anything that you may need help with and they are literally always there.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

DORM LIFE!! The dorms here are really nice compared to most schools. They have double-occupancy dorms and triple-occupancy dorms. With the double ( which is what I stayed in) is you and another person ion one room with two beds on different sides on the room. You both share a sink, toilet, and shower and you have your own closet. With the triple, you have your own room where you can close your door if you would like and you share a sink, toilet, and shower with two other people. Either one is a great choice or you could choose to live in the apartments on/off campus; University Pines, Varsity Place, or Patriot Village. But I suggest to live in

Describe the food and dining at your college.

The food here is okay but they are good. The only thing that I don't quite like about it is that they tend to have the same choices every week and they'll change it up a little but whenever it was dinner time, i was always in there because they'll serve ribs or fried chicken or sometimes Mexican or Chinese food which are all my favs so they hit it home for me.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

At UT Tyler, there are plenty of things to do for fun if you're bored or if you just want to get out of your room. When I used to live in the dorms, I would go down to the Media Room to watch a movie, play ping pong with some friends, or even play board games. In the town, there are also some fun things to do like go bowling or even go to the mall, hang out at Chipotle, and sometimes I shop too much at places like Marshall's, Shoe Carnival, Walmart, Ross, etc. The list goes on from this point! Great town and school.
