Overview
Originally founded as a teacher training institution, New Jersey City University is a 4-year public liberal arts university in northeast New Jersey. NJCU is home to colleges of Arts & Sciences, Business, Professional Studies, and Education conferring bachelor’s degrees in 52 academic programs. Outside of the classroom, NJCU fields 20 varsity teams known as the Gothic Knights. For a break from the rigors of academia, New York City is a short train ride away.
