REVIEWS
Read What Students Are SayingI have learned more in the past year at Howard than I can honestly put into words. I have learned so much about Architecture my first year that I can confidently draft floor plans and elevations of a structure, and make a decent model of it, whereas at the beginning of the year I had no idea what a drafting board was. I feel as though I am also learning what it truly means to be an adult, and to be independent.

Since I'm in the School of Business the curriculum proved to be challenging. I took 15 credit hours for my first semester freshman year and I could handle it. There are hundreds of classes to take and what's better is that you can choose what classes you want and which teacher which is a choice that I didn't have in high school. I've learned the most in my Business Orientation class about credit and how to invest money at an earlier age. During the first semester, the School of B students are put into teams where we are given different projects and presentations that we have to present to the class. These groups helped me learn how to work with others and how to formulate certain business ideas and how to market new products. Now that my first semester is over, I'm excited to see how much Howard will teach me in the coming years.

Congratulation to all graduating high school seniors and I am pleased to tell you about Howard. I am a school of Business student and as a freshman you learn a lot. Taking classes like Business Orientation where you actually where suits to class and learn about the business world. We get visitors from all over America, Howard Alumni's and CEO from many different companies. All students have Freshmen Seminar classes does not matter what major and you will recieve experiences that you wont get anywhere else.

I micro-niche within a beautifully unique DC community. This University pushes you, disappoints you, then drives you forward to take control of your own destiny. One of the only HBCU experiences that exposes you to all walks of life and cultures with such self-expressive enlightenment.
Michael from Algonquin, IL
At Howard University i am learning more than i ever imagined i could. As a chemical engineering student i grow more and more confident in my abilities. I have learned so much in a wide variety of subjects which range from English to taekwondo. Besides academics i am also learning how to be an adult in today's society. I came into Howard University without much and i know i will be leaving with so much more.
Elizabeth from Marlboro, NJ
Attending Howard University is an experience like no other. Not only am I learning a lot about my particular field of study, but I am also learning a lot about myself and my history. Attending an HBCU is a one of a kind experience I would never trade. A popular phrase here at the Mecca is If you can make it at Howard you can make it anywhere If this isn't the truth then I don't know what is!!
Ondrae from New York, NY
My freshman year I didn't learn nearly as much as my sophomore year. This year, I learned about things inside and outside of the classroom. The professors challenge you and force you to think outside the box. Although, you do learn a lot of book smarts, Howard University teaches you street smarts. You learn the importance of networking, and the power of who u know, not what you know. You learn persistence and endurance, and the power of the community.
Ashley Jones from Pontiac, MI
Howard University is one of the most influential schools that is not made for the weak minded. Every school has its ups and downs, but as a Howard student, I feel that our student body aims to help each other to success the most.Though it is an HBCU, it is still diverse and it is a perfect opportunity to connect with many different people.
Freshman
Howard has excellent academics and is the MECCA of all HBCUs. At Howard, students have a voice, a say in what goes on. Organizations at Howard build character and connections for a lifetime.
My-Xaviera from Spencerport, NY
The perfect place for stars looking to shine. Our stars do not only show up at night. They shine during the good times of our country, contributing to society in a positive way. They also shine during the bad times of our country, standing up for equality and leading our nation towards justice.
