Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. In this case the # of students with no corresponding dollar amount will be excluded from the denominator.

Whether it is a boring topic or not the faculty at Temple University makes sure that you learn the information in a fun or interesting manner.
Brooke from Philadelphia, PA
Temple offers a myriad of degree programs. This allows everyone to find the perfect combination of majors and minors. I would like to become a teacher, so I learned a lot about what there was to choose from between browsing their website and taking a tour. They also have a really impressive tech center with a large amount of computers. So you will, literally, learn a lot.
Kathryn from Wallingford, PA
There is so much to learn while attending Temple. The classes are some of the most interesting and informative classes I have ever taken. I've taken classes ranging from human sexuality to the art of acting right back to Psychology as a social science. You also learn a lot outside the classroom living in the dorms and experiencing Philadelphia.
Robin from Brooklyn, NY
Temple University offers a spectacular range of majors. They also had so many fun and interesting courses that I had a lot of trouble choosing General Education courses, which is a really a good problem. (Incoming freshmen, or anyone for that matter, you must take The Art of Listening with Dr. Kreinberg. He's an absolute genius and a really nice guy too.) I'm finding that I miss the learning environment and can not wait to get back into the class room/lecture hall to begin my sophomore year at Temple.
Corrine from Bear, DE
I am learning a lot from both the professors and myself. Temple has numerous facilities that are available for the students to access and/or get help. Also, professors and teacher assistants are constantly striving to help students in distress. They give the students the best possible solution they can find for a specific question and answer it as thoroughly and clearly as possible. Temple staff shows they are willing to help with the constant reminders to students about available facilities for assistance in any subject or any matter that is troubling a student. It really shows that they care!
Gary from Philadelphia, PA
You will get on of the best educations for less. They have built new high quality colleges like the new business and art school buildings.
Theeya from Philadelphia, PA
Temple's Journalism program is one of the best in the country and I can't wait to attend here and grab hold of the internship opportunities that I hear Temple has.
Nylejah from Brooklyn, NY
The classes I'm taking are great. The teachers are very interactive with the class & make learning very interesting. I'm learning a great deal in nearly every class. Whether it was expanding on topics I already knew about or learning something completely different.
Zaeiah from Newark, NJ
Temple University is an exciting place to study! I am so inspired by the level of diversity at Temple and its commitment to constantly fostering academic excellence. Temple shines brightly because it opens doors in many ways for people of all backgrounds.
Julian from Glen Burnie, MD
I've had a crazy first year, between figuring out what classes I really want to take, and what I'm not too interested in, but the classes I did take were very interesting and I learned a whole lot more than I thought I would. The professors are very knowledgeable and helpful academically.
