Overview
Oberlin College is a liberal arts institution that was founded in 1833 in Oberlin, OH. Only two colleges operate on this private university’s campus, a College of Arts and Sciences and the oldest continuously operating Conservatory of Music in the nation. There are a number of educational resources on campus, including the Allen Memorial Art Museum's always free events and exhibits, the Center for Innovation & Impact, and even a performing arts coffeehouse called The Cat in the Cream Coffeehouse. Oberlin is historically progressive and the Memorial Arch on campus has been a site for activism, as well as protest, for many years.
