Overview
Lake Erie College is a private, 4-year institution established in Painesville, Ohio. LEC offers over 30 undergraduate and graduate majors, as well as over 25 minors, with a unique CORE general education curriculum that aims to cultivate all of the college’s students in areas such as civic literacy, ethical reasoning, multicultural perspectives, and more. LEC’s 52-acre main campus is home to 18 state-of-the-art academic buildings and is accompanied by the George M. Humphrey Equestrian Center a few miles to the south. Incoming freshmen have the opportunity to take part in the college’s learning communities, which consist of groups of students connected by common interests and goals who gather for social events and experiential learning opportunities.
