REVIEWS
Read What Students Are SayingYou learn a lot if you make it to every class and do all the readings required. It's tough, but anyone can do it. Get to know your teachers, they help more than you'd think. And they do understand what is happening with all the changes in our lives, don't be afraid to let them know what's going on!
Natalie from Lexington, KY
The degrees I am pursuing are Fire Arson and Explosion Investigation & Correctional and Juvenile Justice Studies, a bit of a mouthful. Eastern Kentucky University happened to be the only school that offers the Arson Investigation Program, we are #1. I love being a Colonel and I love campus. This is a great school with a lot of dedicated teachers who have earned the title of Dr.
Stephanie from Cincinnati, OH
Eastern Has taught me a lot. I went to a high school where we just did the less amount of work to pass. i was a 3.0 student. Here i have been taught that work is what makes you learn. I write papers much better now and am proud of my work.
Chelsea from Richmond, KY
I came to Eastern because it was the only college in Kentucky that had my major. I never expected to learn so much or to enjoy learning so much. The teachers are fun and really know how to make learning personal and connect it to the students. I enjoy waking up and going to class each and every day because I know the teachers care for me as a student and will do everything in their power to help me learn to the best of my ability.
Renee from Lexington, KY
The professors are the best of the best. They are very educated in their fields and are extremely effective in their exchange of information. Making it to class, participating, and doing all of the reading is key! Personal responsibility is essential. Anyone can do it, but effort, dedication, and lastly your grade is up to you!
Karman from Lancaster, KY
Eastern Kentucky University is filled with a variety of knowledgeable professors, each one with a unique teaching style. Whether or not the subject piques your interest, you can learn a lot from them if you pay attention and make sure you take good notes of the content. I learned this from the get go, and I feel I am a lot wiser now than I did whenever I began attending classes.
Jessica from Richmond, KY
Since coming to EKU, I have learned many things in and out of the classroom. In the class, I am not just taught information, but how to use it in real life. Many professors go above and beyond to help their students if they are struggling to learn the material needed. However, if the professor is not able to help you, they send you to one of the many places on campus to get you the tutoring you need to make an excellent grade. EKU have many programs that are better than many other universities such as Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and just about anything under the Criminal Justice Department.
Deanna from Corinth, KY
Coming from a small town its easy to say that my graduating class didnt learn the things we needed to. In my first two days of English and history we covered everything that I had learned over four years of high school. Easterns friendly atmosphere and easy going professors make it easy for you to get adjusted and on track. and each day you learn something new and interesting.
Aubrey from Clay City, KY
Eastern Kentucky University, an incredible school in Richmond Kentucky, gives students an undergraduate career that they've always dreamed of. Academics are challenging yet informative. Eastern keeps up with the latest technologies and tools to ensure learning for all students. Outside of the classroom, EKU has a booming campus life, getting all students involved in clubs, honor societies, greek organizations, program specific groups, or athletics.
Kristen from Louisville, KY
Eastern Kentucky University is very centered around students. Every student is treated with the utmost respect and all questions asked are answered. It is easy to get information from faculty about a class or about administration issues at EKU which is one of the greatest difficulties I have had in college and students always feel welcome rather than bothersome.
