Overview

Concordia College at Moorhead is a private and Christian liberal arts school that is associated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Undergraduate research opportunities are available and culminate with a presentation at the Celebration of Student Scholarship. Students can also audition for any of the 19 major music ensembles like The Concordia Choir, The Concordia Band and The Concordia Orchestra, even if they are not a music major. In fact, the music department has three times more non-majors than music majors. Additionally, Concordia students can apply for one of many music scholarships and receive up to $25,000 per year. Concordia accordingly exhibits an annual Christmas concert, which has been a tradition since 1927.

Additional Costs
Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. In this case the # of students with no corresponding dollar amount will be excluded from the denominator.
