Overview

Surrounding the city’s oldest parks in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, Augsburg University is a test-optional, 4-year institution comprised of 18 main buildings, 3 dining venues, and more than 50 liberal arts academic programs to choose from. Augsburg also maintains a satellite location in Rochester for a select number of degrees in nursing, business, and education. Outside of the US, Augsburg’s Center for Global Education and Experience provides opportunities in Central America, Mexico, and Southern Africa, all three of which emphasize social justice and community engagement. Choosing to study abroad fulfills students’ “high-impact external learning experience,” or The Augsburg Experience Requirement, which can also be completed by student teaching, service learning, or with an internship.

Additional Costs
Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. In this case the # of students with no corresponding dollar amount will be excluded from the denominator.
