Overview
Founded in 1842 by the friars of the Order of Saint Augustine, Villanova University is a 4-year research institution in the Philadelphia area and the oldest Catholic school in Pennsylvania. Villanova is home to six colleges and schools conferring bachelor’s degrees in over 50 fields of study. As the only Augustinian Catholic school in the United States, Villanova celebrates mass every day and offers Reconciliation services four days per week. For recreation, Villanova is home to 30 club and intramural sports.
