Biochemical Engineering

Your high school probably requires you take some biology and chemistry classes. Do you look forward to them or dread them? If these classes are an easy A for you, majoring in biochemical engineering once you head to college could be a good decision. A biochemical engineering major will teach you to apply scientific and mathematical knowledge to biochemical processes that take place in living organisms. You'll take classes in biology, chemistry, thermodynamics, and chemical engineering to understand different macroscopic systems at the molecular level. Life after college is full of possibilities! A biochemical engineering major can find work in the pharmaceutical, chemistry, or energy industries, creating new products and processes or improving older ones.
