Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. I have taken both online and in-person classes at Stark State. The professors here really care about your future and your quality of education, no matter what class type you attend. The smaller class sizes and individual attention from the professors allow any student to have to chance to excel.
Rachel from Cuyahoga Falls, OH
I am learning quite a bit here. Each course provides very decent information and it is hands on which helps me learn more than just pure lectures. I already had basic knowledge in my major so I'm not finding it severely helpful like most people in my classes are.
Haley from Louisville, OH
Most of my teachers are amazing people. They make learning a lot easier than it was in high school and are willing to stay after calls for additional help. The teachers are with the students not against them. And with updated technology in every classroom it makes the learning experience a lot better.
Erica from Alliance, OH
Good Community College. Nice small campus, easy to navigate. Small class size and lots of personal attention from instructors.
Michelle from Norton, OH
I feel the school is geared toward helping everyone achieve their goals, and from my experience, you get what you put in. If you are there for every class as you should be, you will learn plenty.
