Additional Costs
Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. In this case the # of students with no corresponding dollar amount will be excluded from the denominator.

Classes are taught by proffesors that want their students to learn and to enjoy the subjects they teach. Also, teachers are available for students when a student needs their help understanding the subject.
Ricardo from Silver Spring, MD
I have learned so much at Loyola University Maryland. I came in to college knowing that I would be challenged, but boy was I surprised! It is a very difficult school academically. Because of its heavy academic core and strong Jesuit ideals, you have to work alot. But the professors are wonderful, and the school has an excellent reputation for a reason.
Elizabeth from New Jersey
Loyola has a very rigorous academic program. Each major is very challenging and will push the student to their best ability. Each class has very knowledgable professors that truly want to help the student in any way possible. Also learning is not restricted to the classroom. As a Jesuit school, Loyola aims to teach about community service and helping others.
Kiersten
Loyola is the place where the professors truly want you to learn. If you take advantage of all the opportunities that Loyola has to offer you, you will learn a whole lot, not just what is written in textbooks but about real-life issues that surround the Baltimore area.
Stefanie from Brooklyn, NY
All of the teachers really want you to learn, understand, and enjoy the material that they teach. This, along with smaller class sizes, makes it an easy environment to learn in. Also, classes encourage participation to make sure you know the material. The teachers are also very eager to help if you need extra help.
Amanda from Barrington, NJ
I was the salutatorian of my high school. Although Loyola was known as my safety school, and I only enrolled here because of the merit based scholarship I was awarded, I could not be happier with my decision. I have learned a myriad of information, and have had 15 wonderful professors. These professors are brilliant, and truly wish for their students to thrive. I have learned far more than I could have imagined, and I am so thankful for that.
Julie from Glen Rock, NJ
Loyola's Evergreen campus is centered in Baltimore, MD and always leaving out students with something to do. Between intriguing classes, exploring the city, getting involved both on and off campus and creating life long friendships you are bound to create memories that will stay with you forever.
Samantha from NJ
Loyola University Maryland is exactly what you make of it. It can be a place where you make lifelong friends. Go to class!
Stephanie from West Warwick, RI
Loyola is very good when it comes to academics, small, interactive classes. Your teacher knows who you are. If you want to study abroad we have great programs as well.
Tamarah from Bloomfield, CT
Loyola University Maryland represents community. It's a place where you not only grow as an individual but you learn how to work as a team. As a person you make strides to become men and women for and with others.
Jennifer from Sea Cliff, NY
