Overview

Johnston Community College is a 2-year institution with a main campus and four extension sites in eastern North Carolina. Johnston is home to 11 academic departments featuring over 40 degree and certificate-granting programs. Its Transportation Systems Technology department hosts the oldest Truck Driver Training School in the nation. For environmentally conscious students, Johnston’s campus features a 16-acre arboretum and the college also holds classes at the Howell Woods Environmental Learning Center.
