


Upstate Medical University
Overview
With a campus adjacent to downtown Syracuse, Upstate Medical University is a medical school in the State University of New York system. SUNY Upstate features bachelor’s degrees in five medical subjects and all undergraduates enter as rising juniors. The graduate program at SUNY Upstate is divided among Schools of Health Professions, Nursing, Medicine, and Graduate Studies and offers eight master’s and doctoral concentrations. As one of only 125 academic medical centers in the United States, SUNY Upstate provides research access through the on-campus Upstate University Hospital. To help relieve the stress of med school, SUNY Upstate is home to nine intramural sports clubs including co-ed badminton and dodgeball.
