Overview

Founded in 1883, the University of Sioux Falls is a Christian liberal arts university located in the heart of Sioux Falls, South Dakota’s largest city.  USF’s Christ-centered institution offers more than 100 academic programs for undergraduate, graduate and continuing education students hoping to pursue their studies in a top-ranked city, with access to internships and opportunities for career exploration in nearly every industry.  Outside of academics, students can get involved in over 100 clubs, organizations and activities, including NCAA DII Cougar athletics, the fine and performing arts, and campus ministries.  In addition to weekly chapel and student-lead worship events, USF’s inclusive community invites all students to live out the university’s Culture for Service  motto through service projects and volunteer opportunities both in Sioux Falls and around the world.

Additional Costs
Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. In this case the # of students with no corresponding dollar amount will be excluded from the denominator.

The University of Sioux Falls is an incredible school of academics, opportunities, and community. I cannot have imagined starting my life anywhere else. I'm not a number, but a student; not a statistic, by a searching and seeking soul; not just a face in a classroom, but a friend, a daughter, a woman with a future.
Lindsey from Colton, SD
