What Students Are Saying

Well college has to be tough in order to prepare you for life on your own. I can honestly say that The College at Brockport challenges you academically. We have great teachers that work you really hard but that's what's expected out of a college education. There's even an amazing program known as Delta College that tries to get students ahead of the game. You will be exposed to internship opportunities and improve career skills all as a freshman and this is just a 3-year program. In this program they don't want you to wait until you graduate to think about getting a career. You're career starts as soon as you set foot on campus. Depending on your major you can graduate in 3 years too because this program covers most of the general education requirements.

The classes are just challenging enough to make them interesting and yet still have time to be involved around campus. I have had several incredible teachers already, so I am very happy with my academic experience so far.
Julia
The work isn't necessarily hard. It's honestly depends on your work ethic and the time and effort you are willing to put into your studies. Another factor is your major but anyone who attends the college at brockport will do well and we have a good bunch of faculty and staff who do care!
Rachel
This is a very prestigious school in which professors expect a lot from you. You are expected to put your best work in everything that you do. Professors will push you more then you may expect you can be pushed.
Jenna from Bellmore, NY
The professors at the college are wonderful. They all know what they are talking about and want to see you succeed. When teachers are not available for help, the college offers free tutoring.
Justin from NORTH CHILI, NY
I suppose this depends on the courses you take. If we are talking Art 101 or a swimming class, of course its going to be easy. But if you take many Biology and Chemistry classes like I did, you will know the classes here are hard but fair.
Sarah from Rochester, NY
As said earlier, the professors at Brockport are determined for their students to succeed. Many stay late after classes to speak with students and others have open office hours that students can go to for some extra help. There is also the Student Learning Center that provides free tutoring to students. Brockport WANTS you to perform to your academic best!
