Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. I attend SPC at the Byron Martin Advanced Technology Center as a Full-Time Automotive Technology Student. The Classroom and Lab are small, but the Instructors are good and they both have plenty of real world experience. Overall I am satisfied with the education and hands on experience that I am recieving at SPC.

Jaslyn from Lubbock, TX
South Plains College is a great starting school that allows you to obtain the basics without breaking the bank. The classes are more interactive and with a smaller student body, it is easier to get involved. The teachers at this school are very well rounded and they are open to discussing things taking place in the classrooms.
It is a community college, very small, affordable, and helpful instructors. The classroom sizes small and better one on one interaction with teachers if needed. Great college, reminds me of my small high school, but at a college level.
EFRAIN from Lubbock, TX
SPC is a great school and everyone there is extremely nice and helpful. I had never attended college before SPC and knew very little about the process but the folks at SPC made it so simple to apply and get in. I'd recommend SPC to anyone.
