

Ferrum College
Overview
Ferrum College is a 4-year liberal arts college in rural southwestern Virginia affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Ferrum hosts schools of Arts & Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences granting bachelor’s degrees in 30 academic majors and the college is home to the second-oldest Environmental Science program in the nation. To provide a break from the classroom, the Ferrum Outdoors program sponsors excursions into the surrounding area for activities such as rock climbing, snowboarding, and disc golf. Additionally, Ferrum College is home to the Blue Ridge Institute and Museum hosting the annual Blue Ridge Folklife Festival.
