Overview
Founded in 1884, Cottey College is a women’s liberal arts college in southwest Missouri. Cottey confers bachelor’s degrees in 12 academic majors as well as several associate degree-granting programs. In addition, Cottey pays for second year students to travel as a class to one of several international destinations such as Rome, London, Florence, and Madrid. Currently overseen by the PEO Sisterhood, Cottey remains the only nonsectarian college in the United States owned and operated by women.
