Overview

Founded in 1887, Central State University is a 4-year public school in western Ohio and an Historically Black College and University. A member of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, Central State hosts colleges of Education, Engineering, Business, and Humanities as well as a school of Agricultural Education. In addition to classroom facilities, the Central State campus is home to the National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center. For athletically-inclined students, Central State fields eight men’s and women’s teams known as the Marauders.
