Catholic Theological Union at Chicago
Overview
Founded as a response to a call for more seminaries in urban locations, the Catholic Theological Union at Chicago is a Roman Catholic grad school on the city’s south side. CTU offers nine theological master’s degree programs as well as a doctorate in Ministry. Students enrolled in the Divinity, Pastoral Studies, and Specialized Ministries programs are required to enroll in a supervised ministry initiative called Field Education. In addition to its academic offerings, CTU sponsors a number of Catholic initiatives including the Bernardin Center, a facility dedicated to peacemaking and interreligious dialogue.
