Created by the merger of Prestonburg Community College and Mayo Technical College, Big Sandy Community and Technical College is a 2-year institution in eastern Kentucky. With four campus locations, BSCTC offers over 25 academic and vocational programs granting degrees and certificates. In addition to classroom space, the college’s Prestonburg campus includes the East Kentucky Science Center and Varia Planetarium featuring a 40-foot dome and star projector.
