Overview
The University of the Virgin Islands is a public, historically black institution established on the scenic islands of St. Croix, St. Thomas, and St. John. The college offers over 45 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in variety of areas of study, many of which include courses that can be completed entirely online within an 8-week period. Academics at UVI feature state-of-the-art interactive resources, with classes on both main campuses utilizing smart equipment, video conferencing, a digital library, and a number of innovation centers. Students have the opportunity to take part in undergraduate research both abroad and in the university’s laboratories, which includes faculty mentoring and the chance to present their findings at the university’s annual symposium.

You can learn a good bit just by attending the classes but to get the most out of the college you would have to take that knowledge outside of the class. The classes are not large so it is quite easy to establish a good relationship with your professor educationally speaking. The professors I have had so far are very knowledgeable in their subjects.
