


The University of Montana
Overview
With a campus settled at the base of Mount Sentinel, the University of Montana is a 4-year public school in western Montana and the flagship institution of the Montana University System. UM is home to 13 colleges and schools granting undergraduate degrees, as well as offering bachelor’s degrees in Art and Media Arts available entirely online. For students of an indigenous background, the University of Montana also hosts the first chapter of the Native American Journalists Association. For recreation, the UM Outdoor Program offers classes in rock climbing and kayaking and oversees trips for activities such as backpacking in Glacier National Park.
