Overview
At SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF), you don’t just sit in a classroom — you get outside and learn by doing. You’ll study in forests, lakes, and wetlands across 25,000 acres in New York State, and you’ll also solve real-world problems through science, engineering, and sustainability projects. Most of our degrees are STEM fields, preparing you for strong careers in areas like environmental engineering, renewable energy, and ecosystem restoration. You can also take part in Earth Week service projects, show your creativity through art, or join unique teams like timber sports and bass fishing.
