Will learn a lot
Southeastern provides students with the best technology, faculty, and organisations to ensure that students have every opportunity to achieve the highest level of education possible.
Will enjoy being here
The students and faculty are full of hospitality. You feel right at home from the moment you arrive on campus, and every student has the chance to establish a student organization as long as you have 10 or more other students which ensures you to make more friends and gives you that sense of freedom you desire.
Bang for the buck
Southeastern is worth every penny you out into it. Plus all of the money goes to new dorms, classrooms, and the union. Plus we as students have a vote on what the money is spent on for each of the three. There is a campus wide vote for the students to decide what classes we need, what new restaurant we should have, or how to remodel the dorms.
Tips for prospective students
There is only one thing say to new students. When you come to Southeastern you should remember to just have a good time because you are home from the moment you step on campus.
Great for these types of students
Southeastern is great for all students. From my experience i have not seen any form of discrimination or hostility targeted towards any one or any kind of difference, and this school offer a variety of courses to accommodate for every academic area of interest.

The cafeteria food is really good. I do not have a meal plan, but I do often pay to eat there. I enjoy having a good home cooked meal. There are also more options in the student union, including ways to eat healthy with a Subway or a smoothie bar.
What to do for fun
Southeastern offers many activities to students for fun. I like to take advantage of the work out classes in the Student Activities Center. Many other students also like to compete in a friendly match of intramural sports.

Southeastern Louisiana University has a strong Lion Family. The Alumni Association often attends football games and contribute to the school in many ways. There is a place at Southeastern called Friendship Circle where there is a large oak tree which we call Friendship Oak. It was always a myth that if two people kiss on Friendship Oak, they were sure to be married.

WOW! Greek Life is so much more than just Sororities and Fraternities at Southeastern, it is one big Greek family! Greek Life has impacted my life in so many positive ways. It is a way to help your school, your community, and help others in need. I would highly recommend becoming a member of a Greek Organization at Southeastern.
Campus Safety
I feel that Southeastern is one of the safest places one could ever be. When we had someone walk buy and steal another student's cell phone, the staff was informed and immediately started warning students all around campus! That made me feel extremely safe, simply because they care.

Southeastern is the only University in Louisiana to participate in the Rental Textbook program. It allows you to rent out as many books as you need for each class for one flat rate of 45 dollars a class. Whether you need 12 books for one class, of just two books, the rental program allows you to save thousands of dollars in not having to purchase the books yourself. At the end of the semester, you simply return the books you have and check out the books you will need for your future classes. Located in Friendship Circle, this giant oak tree is more than just a beautiful sight. Rumor has it, the person you kiss under the tree, is the person you will spend the rest of your life with. Tips for prospective students
Study, always go to class, and be friendly to your peers. These things will make college life at Southeastern much more enjoyable.

The academics are said to be a tad easier than most other schools. I feel this not to be true but I do realize that most people who said that came from either a large high school or a larger college. The dorm life is very nice there. There are always dorm activities and your RA's are very helpful and friendly.

The food is great at Southeastern. The cafeteria is all you can eat and always a nice meal, whether it be hot or cold.
