Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. When I started college in the fall of 2008 I was really unsure of what my major was going to be and what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Taking the general studies classes at Missouri Western has really helps students figure out what they enjoy and want to pursue. At Missouri Western everyone learns so much due to the great professors. Granted, not all the professors are wonderful but the majority of them are and they truly care about teaching and making sure every student in the class receives all of the materials and resources needed in order for them to succeed.
Bethany from Saint Joseph, MO
From what I've heard from other students (including my sister), this is a great school to attain a degree. I am currently prospecting all of my options, but Mo West seems to be the best option for me (and not merely for proximity's sake). I am excited about the smaller classrooms and (from what I hear) the excellent teachers.
Joseph from Trenton, MO
Missouri Western is a fun environment with a lot of school spirit. They offer a lot of interesting programs and classes that will help you reach your goal. The best part is that the price is really cheap for a university.
Megan from St Joseph, MO
Professors really break down the material for you. They go into great detail on everything so everyone can understand. They put supplemental material and notes from class online too.
Jessica
