Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. Students in the forensics field do a pig dig where a class murders a dead pig and buries it. they then go out to find a pig body from the previous year's class to analyze it and find a cause of death. this is just an example of how much this school can teach and prepare one for their future.

Antoinette from Harrisburg, PA
Harrisburg University of Science and Technology has very small and close knit classrooms where students are encouraged to ask questions and receive a superb learning experience. The University is very up to date on the latest technology. In addition, all of the professors are very friendly and available to the students.
Miranda from Fawn Grove, PA
The school is good for students who want the one-on-one teacher student time, since it is a small college. Also, with the new improvements it also is becoming better. The location is a great one because there are many things around for the students to go to.
Christina from Harrisburg, PA
A great new university dedicated to preparing students for careers in STEM areas. Small class size and personal attention are tops. Moderate tuition and fees are a great plus too!
Kevin from Philadelphia, PA
I love what this college has to offer. It has small class sizes so I'm sure I won't be left out or feel like so. I can't wait to actually visit the campus to see what the Harrisburg community is like.
Jackie from Columbia, MD
