Overview

Hanover College’s campus is nestled along the banks of the scenic Ohio River. Founded in 1827, Hanover is the oldest private college in Indiana. Our stunning natural campus is just an easy drive from one of 3 major metropolitan areas- Indianapolis, Indiana; Louisville, Kentucky; or Cincinnati, Ohio.  Our students can truly experience the best of all worlds. By combining our idyllic setting with your academic talents, passions, and any of our 34 majors (or one of your own design), you’ll find that Hanover College is a place to call home while being challenged to become your best self. Combine the breadth of study that the liberal arts curriculum provides with the depth of your major and hands-on learning through readily available internships and research. Enjoy the life of a D3 student-athlete, and refine your talents in our 6+ musical ensembles, theatre and art programs. Grow your resume and have fun through 70+ clubs and organizations like Love Out Loud, OWL (Outdoor Wilderness Leadership), Habitat for Humanity, or Interfaith Student Association. Experience and exploration are mandatory, and it sets our alumni apart. It’s no surprise that 99% of Hanover students are working or continuing their education within 7 months of graduation. Additional Costs
Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. In this case the # of students with no corresponding dollar amount will be excluded from the denominator.

Hanover is more than a college, it's a community. I've never felt so accepted and welcomed in such a great environment. I feel like I wouldn't be the same person without my liberal arts education I've received here.
Shana from Hanover, IN
Hanover has been the best choice I have ever made. It is a small college that is big on experience! Studying on this beautiful campus has been an honor for me.
Jennefer from Flat Rock, IN
Hanover College is not only a college but a place of growth and change. In my first year of Hanover I enhanced my intellectual abilities and I grew as an individual. Hanover is challenging but without the challenge it would be impossible to grow as a person.
Norah from Fairfield, OH
the school is great and friendly. it is tucked away, but one can easily access surrounding cities. the campus is wonderful.
