Overview
Founded in 1787 thanks to a donation from Benjamin Franklin, Franklin & Marshall College is a 4-year liberal arts college in southeast Pennsylvania. Franklin & Marshall grants undergraduate degrees in 60 academic fields of study. For students who wish to learn in a different culture, Franklin & Marshall sponsors over 200 study abroad programs in more than 60 countries including the Advanced Study in England program. All first year F&M students are assigned to one of five college houses based on their choice of a first year seminar-style Connections Course and students are encouraged to continue conversations begun in the classroom at each college house.

Franklin & Marshall is the quintessential small liberal arts college, nestled among the picturesque Amish country of Lancaster, PA while retaining close proximity to the city of Lancaster. Within brick buildings lie impressive archives of knowledge, motivated students, and professors who are genuinely passionate about teaching undergraduates. This school has something for anyone, be they students of the humanities, natural sciences, business/economics, or arts, and it especially has much to offer to students who have no clue what they want to do with their life other than receive a well-rounded liberal arts education.
