Overview

El Centro College is a public, 2-year institution established in Dallas, Texas. The college is a Hispanic-Serving Institution and a member of the Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities. Students attending ECC have a wide variety of choices in degree programs, but the school is especially centralized on their Nursing, Allied Health, Fashion Design, Interior Design, Information Technology, and Culinary programs. The school is also home to the Texas-A&M Chevron Engineering Academy, where Engineering students have the opportunity to enroll in classes taught by Texas A&M faculty before transitioning to the Texas A&M University in College Station to complete a 4-year degree.

I thought when someone started college, they would just be considered as a number, even in a community college. But at El Centro I've had the pleasure to know teachers that really do care for your success and help you get to where you need to be. I've learned a lot, from management skills to how the human anatomy works. I've grown both academically and emotionally being at this community college.
