Overview
Founded in 1836, Alfred University is a 4-year private school situated in a valley in western New York State. Alfred hosts five colleges and schools conferring undergraduate degrees in 40 academic majors. In addition to classroom facilities, Alfred is home to the Bromley-Daggett Equestrian Center and the Stull Observatory featuring seven telescopes. Throughout the school year, Alfred schedules a number of all-campus events from the annual Hot Dog Day festival to the Pine Hill Derby soapbox race.
