Affordability and Cost
Average Net Price
Average net price for full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates paying the in-state or in-district tuition rate who were awarded grant or scholarship aid from federal, state or local governments, or the institution. Other sources of grant aid are excluded. Aid awarded anytime during the full aid year is included.
Average net price is generated by subtracting the average amount of federal, state or local government, or institutional grant and scholarship aid from the total cost of attendance. Total cost of attendance is the sum of published tuition and required fees (lower of in-district or in-state), books and supplies and the weighted average room and board and other expenses.

What Students Are Saying
Southeastern is worth every penny you out into it. Plus all of the money goes to new dorms, classrooms, and the union. Plus we as students have a vote on what the money is spent on for each of the three. There is a campus wide vote for the students to decide what classes we need, what new restaurant we should have, or how to remodel the dorms.

rent text books so you save money by not paying hundreds or even a thousand dollars for books
william from Saint Amant, LA
Southeastern is the only University in Louisiana to participate in the Rental Textbook program. It allows you to rent out as many books as you need for each class for one flat rate of 45 dollars a class. Whether you need 12 books for one class, of just two books, the rental program allows you to save thousands of dollars in not having to purchase the books yourself. At the end of the semester, you simply return the books you have and check out the books you will need for your future classes. We also have the Pennington Student Activity Center which is a two story, state of the art, gym. Complete with an indoor track and basketball court, the activity center is completely paid for by your tuition so you have full access to it. It is a great way to help students stay in shape.
Jessica from Ponchatoula, LA
One of the cheapest four-year universities in the state.
Madeline from Pearl River, LA
For such an amazing school, tuition is extremely reasonable. Scholarships, loans, and grants are also fairly easy to obtain and can get you through all four years at SELU.
Victoria from Hammond, LA
I shopped around and Southeastern ended up being one of the cheapest options. Tuition is low, I received an out of state tuition waiver since my gpa was over 2.5. There is a book rental program where you rental all your books for $45 per class. That has saved me hundreds of dollars each semester.
