Overview
With a campus nestled in the Appalachian Mountains, Mountain Empire Community College is a 2-year college serving a four county area in southwest Virginia. MECC is home to 13 academic career pathways hosting degree and certificate programs. To provide academic assistance, MECC offers free online tutoring through the college’s Smarthinking module. The college also celebrates local Appalachian culture through its annual week-long Mountain Music School.
