


American Film Institute Conservatory
Overview
Established in 1969, the American Film Institute Conservatory is a private institution located in Los Angeles, California, in the hills overlooking Hollywood. AFI Conservatory’s 8-acre campus provides students with nearby access to the city’s many studios and facilities. Students enrolled at the college take part in a Master of Fine Arts degree program, which aims to educate students in the fields of Cinematography, Screenwriting, Production Design, Directing, Producing, and Editing through classes and workshops taught by a team of professional faculty. The program’s students, or “fellows”, produce over 120 short films per year.
