Overview

As the third oldest American institution of higher learning to offer a curriculum on Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences is a school of alternative health care in Oakland. The Academy offers a master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. The master’s degree program is available in English and Chinese. In addition to its academic offerings, the Academy operates a teaching clinic that provides internships for students in techniques such as acupuncture, cupping, and herb therapy.
