Musical Theatre

As a musical theater major, you'll be immersed in classes related to both music and the theater arts. Courses often include acting, voice, dance, technical theater, piano, musical genres, and set design. But it's not all book and lecture focused - your degree in musical theater will give you the opportunity to practice reading scripts, auditioning, singing in front of audiences, and researching roles. These are all vital skills you'll need if you hope to make it in the entertainment industry. The musical theater industry is competitive. Some lucky and talented individuals win big roles on major stages or in films while others may stick to smaller theaters. Others work as extras, voiceover or narration professionals, or even go on to teach drama or singing classes.
